AV Dawson celebrates Good Business Week

26th February, 2024

Multimodal logistics solutions provider, AV Dawson, stand out not just for their efficient operations but also for their unwavering commitment to good business practices.  This commitment was recently recognised and celebrated during our inaugural Good Business Week, where they emerged as the undeniable champion, winning our Good Business Week competition!

Employee activities

AV Dawson put the environment first by organising a local litter pick around the Port of Middlesbrough. A number of colleagues from across the Teesside business participated in the litter pick, which began on its site at Riverside Park in Middlesbrough and stretched down to the public park at Teessaurus Park.

Charlie Nettle, Group Managing Director, said:

“We wanted to do something specific this week to show our support for Good Business Week. This illustrates our support of the community and the environment, while also being a great opportunity for some teamwork, bringing different colleagues together from across the business.”

Internal

Throughout the week, AV Dawson also took their Good Business Week internally, focusing on their colleagues’ awareness of the week and the Good Business Charter as a whole. From posters placed around the site to engaging e-posters displayed on screens, every avenue was utilised to spread awareness about the significance of being a part of the Good Business Charter. This inclusive approach ensured that every employee and visitor to the port was immersed in the spirit of responsible business conduct.
