Dawsongroup wins Good Business Fortnight competition!

Dawsongroup has been crowned the winner of our Good Business Fortnight competition, showcasing an outstanding commitment to responsible business practices during the campaign. Their enthusiasm and dedication throughout the fortnight set a high standard for celebrating ethical business values.

Daily engagement

To mark Good Business Fortnight, Dawsongroup took to social media with a creative approach—posting a video, blog or testimonial each day highlighting different aspects of their responsible business practices. These assets covered key topics such as employee well-being, sustainability initiatives, customer service excellence and ethical sourcing. By sharing real stories and insights, they effectively demonstrated their commitment to the ten principles of the Good Business Charter.

Commitment to customer excellence

What particularly stood out to us was their clear commitment to their customers. Posting testimonials on social media, Dan Ranm, Fleet Manager at J Brand, said:

“Response is always quick, and they treat us like we’re their number one customer. They’ll bend over backwards to help us out, same day deliveries if we need them, if they haven’t got a vehicle in the depot that we’re trying to get, they will happily ship it down!”

This dedication to exceptional customer service aligns perfectly with the Good Business Charter’s focus on treating stakeholders—employees, customers and suppliers—with fairness and integrity.

A spotlight on responsible business

The daily social media campaign not only engaged employees internally but also resonated with external audiences. By showcasing their efforts, Dawsongroup inspired other organisations to consider how they too can embed ethical business practices. Their approach was a perfect example of how digital storytelling can amplify the impact of responsible business initiatives.  Their video on the importance of paying fair tax is a good example of an area we know people are very interested in, creatively communicated.

Leading the way in ethical business

Winning this competition is a testament to Dawsongroup’s dedication, embedding responsible business values into their operations. Their leadership in promoting Good Business Fortnight highlights the power of communication and engagement in driving positive change.

As early adopters of the Good Business Charter, we’re proud to have championed Good Business Fortnight by showcasing how we embed best practices into our daily work. Supporting this initiative isn’t just the right thing to do – it’s a smarter way to do business, benefiting our people, our community, and the environment.”

Steve Callahan, Group Sales & Marketing Director at Dawsongroup.
