The UK’s benchmark for responsible business.

With 97% of the public wanting businesses to act responsibly, Good Business Charter accreditation is a simple and effective way for an organisation to demonstrate their commitment to good business practices.

A trusted signpost

Good Business Charter (GBC) helps organisations clearly demonstrate they are a responsible business in a way that employees, customers, and other stakeholders can understand and trust.

Developed by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), Trades Union Congress (TUC) and Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), the Good Business Charter sets a clear benchmark for responsible business in the UK.

To become accredited, organisations commit to ten components that reflect how good businesses treat their employees, customers, suppliers, society and the planet.

We want to recognise and celebrate every organisation committed to our components, which is why GBC accreditation is free and accessible to all.

Why responsible organisations perform better

Behaving responsibly isn’t just good for society – it’s good for business. Treating people well brings huge benefits to your business with savings in recruitment and training, better productivity with a highly engaged workforce, excellence in customer service which in turn fosters loyal customers and so much more.
