Accreditation and Renewals Administrator

Job purpose: Manage Good Business Charter accreditations and support organisations through every step of the process. 

Location: Primarily home-based, with regular working days in York. 

Hours: 20 hours per week, spread across the week.  

Salary: £25,000–£27,000 per year (pro rata). 

Responsibilities: 
  • Provide customer-focused support and guidance to organisations throughout the accreditation process via email and phone. 
  • Process accreditation applications and carry out assessment checks. 
  • Manage invoices via QuickBooks. 
  • Work with organisations who are overdue in completing renewals or payments, offering support where needed and liaising with the wider Good Business Charter (GBC) team to ensure a holistic approach. 
  • Help protect the integrity of the Good Business Charter by undertaking spot checks and ensuring organisations that are no longer accredited remove GBC logos from their marketing materials. 
What we are looking for (essential):
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, able to provide friendly, professional support and clear guidance via email and over the phone. 
  • Confident in reviewing and processing information and carrying out compliance checks. 
  • Proactive problem-solver – able to address issues and share suggestions for improvements with the team. 
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. 
  • Strongly motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.  
What we’d like to see (desirable):
  • Experience of working with businesses. 
  • Understanding of the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) business landscape. 
  • Experience using QuickBooks. 
  • Basic understanding of Excel and Word.
